Installing a VRML 2.0 Plugin for your Web Browser:

From our experience, we'd recommend Cosmo Software's 'Cosmo Player', which will work with both Internet Explorer & Netscape Navigator, and provides support for Windows 95/98/NT, IRIX, Windows 3.1 and very soon MacOS (this is what we use to test our VRML 2.0 worlds).

Of all the plugins we've looked at, this seems to date the most stable, reliable and compliant with the VRML 2.0 specification.

Please note that AlteredWorlds offers no guarentees as to how this plugin will perform on your system. It is good practice to review any disclaimers or release notes provided by the authors before installing ANY new software on your machine.

NOTE to Windows 95 Users: Cosmo Player requires DCOM for Windows 95 to be installed on your system - if you get an error while installing Cosmo Player saying DCOM for Windows 95 is required, it can be obtained from Microsoft at: http://www.microsoft.com/com/dcom95/download-f.htm
